The Baraboo Circus Celebration’s Parade of Elephants culminates with a ten day auction of these painted pachyderms.  The Parade of Elephants was a collaborative effort of the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce, The Big Top Parade Committee and Baraboo State Bank.   The event brought thousands of people to the Baraboo Area over the past two months.  People how all over the U.S. have had their eyes on this art installation and the chamber couldn’t be more excited to auction them off.

The Auction will be hosted by Gavin Brothers Auctioneers as an online auction.  It will begin on Friday, September 10^th at 12 noon and will run ten days ending at 12 noon on Monday, September 20^th.  The opening bid of each elephant is $2000.00.  With just 15 elephants available from this one of kind event, we encourage you to keep your eye on your favorite one.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit local artists, the Chamber, and Circus World.  For each elephant that is auctioned off 30% of the auction price will go back to the local artist that painted it, with the remainder going to the Chamber.  This will allow us to make a generous gift to Circus World as well as create funds for a continuation of a like project in the future.

Elephants purchased during the auction will need to be picked up the week of September 20^th.  Winning bidders will coordinate pick up with the Chamber.   In the event that an elephant is purchased from out of state, it can either be picked up or the Chamber will refer the bidder to a local shipper.  All shipping costs will be paid by the purchaser.  We are happy to help with connecting the purchaser and the shipper.

Size: 5ft long, 4 ft high, and 2 ft wide.  Each elephant weights approx. 80 lbs.
